Hi, my name is Mike Harrower.
I've been skydiving for about 16 years and it has been a big influence in my life to date.
I started sky diving by chance really. I was on my way home from college on a Monday afternoon in late October and got speaking to a friend of my brothers who told me they were going to a parachuting seminar that
evening. I thought it would be a great experience to do a parachute jump so we decided to go
together. We went along and listened to the seminar and decided to sign up for a static line round parachute jump.
After we completed the course I did my first parachute jump on the 1st of December 1990 and I was instantly
hooked.
I worked my way through the category system and then eventually I got myself a camera and started to film other
sky divers. I also filmed tandem skydivers.
I did all this because I love the sport so much and I eventually decided to become a British Parachute Association (BPA) Instructor and give back some of the joy
i've had from skydiving by teaching others. This is one of the reasons why I decided to set up Skydive Utopia, the other is so that I could also "live the
dream", and sky dive for a living.
Skydive Utopia's goal is to allow safe and easy access to the sport of sky
diving for anyone in Britain or abroad. I offer a wide range of courses which can be specifically tailored to suit your personal needs.
Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you sky diving soon!
